Patna is my home town. It is therefore as long as I worked in Bihar the same was my first choice for permanent settlement. A post of Assistant Professor resulted in vacancy at Nalanda Medical College Hospital (NMCH) located at Patna in the year 1995. I sought for transfer and succeeded to join at the same place in the year 1995. I worked there from 12/05/1995 to 17/12/1996. This medical institute was an undergraduate government (public) institution that was managed by Government of Bihar. It was a well established institution and recognized by the Medical Council of India. In the year 1998 private practice in Bihar was banned. At the same time I got an offer to work in Saudi Arabia. I joined King Fahad Hospital at Al Hofuf(KFHH) in the capacity of Consultant Dermatologist on 22/10/1998. Within a year I was made Head of Department of Department of Dermatology. I continued to work their until 13/06/2010. There are five similarly built hospitals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They all are the best hospitals working under Ministry of Health, Saudi Arabia. Only highly qualified and experienced doctors are hired to work in these hospitals. Although these hospitals are not teaching hospital but they are very passionately involved with continuing medical examination (CME) and quality control activities. There is separate and independent Quality Control and CME departments that are passionately involved in their respective activities. Each working medical professional has to achieve already set score of points to renew their contract each year. General Medical Council of UK use to recognize the working experience acquired at these hospitals as an equivalent to their prerequisites to become legible to appear for MRCP examination.
I have inherent inbuilt inclination to medical teaching profession. Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMSR) is the single and only private medical college in Delhi. I joined HIMSR on 29/05/2015 and worked in the capacity of Associate Professor and HOD of Dermatology till 04/03/2017.
